As both energy markets and state policies develop and interact with Bitcoin's network and infrastructure, these powerful sectors are converging to make Bitcoin a strategic geopolitical asset. This convergence underscores a fundamental truth: neutrality in technology does not guarantee neutrality in politics. Energy equates to power, while computation has become the new currency of influence. As a result, Bitcoin is at the forefront of global energy resource competition. Countries that recognize how energy resources affect Bitcoin mining and reserve their energies accordingly will become leaders in both an emerging digital and geopolitical era. Hashpower is now about more than just measuring technical capabilities. It is a new kind of soft power and will identify which nations may emerge as superpowers during this time.
