Loans within the protocol are tokenized as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). The stability of USDai is maintained through overcollateralized loans and mechanisms that incentivize arbitrage. Staking USDai involves locking these tokens into smart contracts within the protocol. This action can lead to earning rewards, including "Allo Points," which may secure allocations in future distributions or offerings. Staking also offers the opportunity to participate in the project's governance. By locking USDai, users can receive veUSDai (vote-escrowed USDai), which grants voting power within the ecosystem. The process of unstaking sUSDai typically includes an unbonding period, which can be around 30 days. When USDai is converted to sUSDai through staking, it is not a one-to-one conversion because sUSDai is the yield-bearing asset. The project emphasizes that it bridges crypto liquidity with the financing of AI infrastructure through programmable on-chain strategies. Staked USDai operates on blockchain networks such as Arbitrum One and Plasma, and it can be minted on Arbitrum, Ethereum, or other compatible EVM chains, and bridged between various chains.
