Conic Price(CNC)

Conic Finance, with its native token CNC, was a decentralized finance protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain. It was primarily designed to serve as a liquidity management platform within the Curve Finance ecosystem. Its main innovation was a product called Omnipools. These pools allowed users to deposit a single asset, such as ETH or various stablecoins, which the protocol would then automatically distribute across multiple Curve liquidity pools. This system was intended to help users diversify their exposure and simplify the process of providing liquidity to different parts of the decentralized finance market. The protocol operated in close connection with both Curve and Convex Finance. When assets were deposited into a Conic Omnipool, the protocol would stake the resulting liquidity provider tokens on Convex Finance to maximize rewards. Users who provided liquidity through the platform earned a combination of incentives, including Curve and Convex tokens, alongside the native CNC token. The CNC token served as the governance backbone of the protocol. Holders could lock their CNC tokens to receive vote-locked CNC, which allowed them to participate in biweekly liquidity allocation votes. These votes gave the community the power to decide how the protocol should rebalance its assets across the various supported Curve pools, effectively letting the DAO dictate the flow of liquidity. Despite its initial popularity and support from key figures in the DeFi space, including an investment from the founder of Curve, the project faced significant operational hurdles. In mid-2023, the protocol suffered from security exploits that impacted its stability and user trust. Following these events, the development team worked toward a second version of the protocol aimed at improving security and functionality. However, in early 2025, the project reached its conclusion. The core team announced that they were unable to resolve critical security vulnerabilities identified in the new version of the protocol. Consequently, on March 8, 2025, Conic Finance officially announced that it would cease all operations and discontinue the project. The team advised all remaining users to withdraw their funds from the Omnipools as the protocol was being sunset.
