These Spaces exist as on-chain assets, often represented as ERC-721 non-fungible tokens, and are owned by their creators, providing customizable membership and governance structures. Memberships within these Spaces can be tokenized, potentially granting access, rewards, or voting rights to holders. Spaces also offer flexible pricing models, extendable reputation systems, and the ability to integrate with other decentralized applications. The native utility and governance token for the ecosystem is TOWNS. This token is utilized for staking and delegation to support the network's Node Operators or individual Spaces. TOWNS token holders also participate in the governance of the protocol, enabling them to vote on upgrades and major decisions through the Towns DAO, also known as Towns Lodge. The token also facilitates enhanced functionalities within Spaces and allows users to stake directly into them to gain access, rewards, and influence.
