The platform facilitates access to traditional financial products, such as Treasury bills, through a tokenized infrastructure. Initially, thBILL was composed primarily of tULTRA, which is a wrapped version of a tokenized Treasury bill from Standard Chartered Libeara, created in partnership with Wellington Management and FundBridge. The project intends to add more U.S. Treasury bill tokens from other regulated institutions to its basket over time, enhancing its diversification. thBILL uses Theo's iToken standard to maintain the composition of its underlying asset basket. For security and regulatory compliance, only users who have successfully completed Know Your Customer (KYC) verification are able to mint and redeem thBILL tokens. The processes for minting and redeeming these tokens can take up to four business days.
