sGYD (sgyd) is a yield-bearing version of the GYD stablecoin, designed to allow users to earn a share of the yield generated by assets within the GYD reserve. It operates using a standard yield-bearing vault design, specifically the ERC-4626 implementation. When users deposit GYD into sGYD, they receive sGYD as a share of the total supply. Instead of rebasing, the deposit and withdrawal exchange rate of sGYD automatically increases over time to reflect the yield that has been distributed to sGYD holders. This yield is paid in newly minted GYD. The project aims to establish "stablecoin superliquidity" by utilizing both a meta-stablecoin, GYD, and concentrated liquidity Automated Market Makers (AMMs) known as E-CLPs. GYD functions as a meta-stablecoin, offering holders access to a varied selection of stablecoins and advanced on-chain risk management features. E-CLPs are concentrated liquidity AMMs, built on Balancer, which are designed to provide efficient capital use and customizable liquidity configurations. Additionally, yield can be earned by liquidity providers who participate in specific GYD/XXX E-CLPs. sGYD is transferable without requiring specific permissions. An off-chain script calculates the yield, and a Manager Contract then mints and distributes new GYD to various venues, including the sGYD Vault, which is a yield-bearing contract itself.
