Seamoon Protocol (SMP) was a cryptocurrency project initiated in 2023 by DMM Crypto, a subsidiary of DMM.com. The project aimed to innovate and enhance the digital economy by offering a decentralized platform. Its primary goal was to deliver new entertainment experiences within digital environments through the use of its native tokens. A key component of the Seamoon Protocol was the development of its own blockchain, named "DM2 Verse," which was built on Oasys Layer2. The protocol sought to establish a multi-chain digital economic ecosystem that integrated various currencies and assets. It underscored principles such as accessibility, user empowerment, transparency, and reliability, utilizing blockchain technology and smart contracts to facilitate secure and efficient transactions. Initially, Seamoon Protocol concentrated on Web3 games. Plans were in place to introduce several blockchain games in 2024, including "Coin Musume," "Kyrie & Terra," "Kampani☆Girls RE," "KAMIYAGURA," and "BOUNTY HUNTERS." The project also intended to broaden its scope beyond gaming to include services that create synergy with gaming, solutions for social and business-to-business issues, financial services, and other Web3 initiatives leveraging assets from the DMM Group. A feature called "SMP Trade" was launched, which enabled users to earn cryptocurrency by engaging in games and collecting "Trade Medals" convertible into cryptocurrency vouchers. However, DMM Crypto made the decision to discontinue the Seamoon Protocol project.
