Holders of QBT can stake their tokens to earn rewards and participate in the protocol's decision-making processes. The project also focuses on enhancing security within the BSC ecosystem by supporting code reviews for farming platforms and conducting full-stack audits. It distinguishes itself by not supporting flash loans, a measure intended to reduce potential sources of insecurity. However, Qubit Finance experienced a significant security incident in January 2022. Attackers exploited a logic bug within its QBridge deposit function, enabling them to mint unbacked tokens and subsequently borrow assets from the protocol. This exploit led to a substantial loss of funds and was later linked to North Korea-affiliated hacking groups. It is worth noting that there is also another project, sometimes referred to as Qubit (QBIT or QBT), which is a decentralized quantum computing platform.
