They measure differences between expected and actual satellite signals to generate correction data. Node operators contribute to the network by installing and maintaining approved GNSS equipment. This data is then delivered to end-users, enabling ultra-accurate positioning for various applications. The Onocoy Token (ONO) is the native cryptocurrency of this network. It is used to reward contributors, such as miners and validators, for providing validated RTK correction data. The ONO token also facilitates transactions for data services within the ecosystem and grants holders participation in the governance of the Onocoy association or Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). Onocoy aims to support industries that require precise location information, including autonomous vehicles, drones, precision agriculture, surveying, construction, robotics, micro-mobility, and robotic lawnmowers. By leveraging Web3 technology, Onocoy seeks to overcome the challenges associated with expensive, centralized infrastructure and limited coverage in high-precision GNSS positioning. The project is currently in a beta phase, where participants earn BONO (beta ONO) tokens, which are expected to be converted to ONO tokens upon the official mainnet launch.
