The core of the ecosystem is its liquidity solution, which utilizes a unique pooled-funds model. Liquidity providers supply assets to the platform and, in return, receive a share of the protocol's generated fees. One of the distinguishing features of the project is its tiered risk management system, known as tranches. This system allows liquidity providers to choose their level of risk exposure by participating in different pools, such as senior or junior tranches, which have varying incentive structures and protection levels. The project uses a dual-token model to balance utility and governance. The LVL token is the primary utility token used to incentivize the ecosystem. Users can earn LVL through participation in the platform, such as providing liquidity or trading. It also serves as a staking asset, where holders can lock their tokens to receive a portion of the platform's revenue, often referred to as real yield. The second token, LGO, serves as the governance token. It is earned by staking LVL in the protocol's DAO pool. LGO holders form the Level DAO, which is responsible for the strategic direction of the project, including decisions on protocol upgrades, treasury management, and changes to the incentive structures. This community-driven approach ensures that the protocol remains decentralized and aligned with the interests of its users. In addition to leveraged trading with up to 50x leverage, the platform supports spot swaps and limit orders. All trades are executed via smart contracts, meaning the platform is permissionless and does not require a central intermediary.
