KONG is an ERC-20 token that serves as the new utility token for the CyberKongz ecosystem. It was introduced to entirely replace the previous token, BANANA, and acts as a central liquidity layer, connecting NFT utility with decentralized finance (DeFi) elements within the CyberKongz project. The token's purpose is to be an enhancement of the original token, reflecting the project's culture and community that has developed over four years. KONG is not designed as a governance token or solely as a gaming token. Its features include staking mechanisms, seasonal reward distributions, and deflationary burns. Holders of the former BANANA token were able to convert their holdings to KONG at a 1:25 ratio during the Token Generation Event. This conversion allocated approximately 28.2% of the total KONG token supply. KONG has a fixed total supply of 1 billion tokens. Other allocations include significant portions reserved for future community distributions, a percentage for token burning to introduce deflationary pressure, funds for treasury, team incentives, investors, and airdrops to the Ethereum NFT community. Engagement within the ecosystem is encouraged through features like staking KONG to accumulate Kong Points, which can enhance eligibility for seasonal token distributions for Genesis and Baby Kong holders and KONG stakers via the Kongz Hub.
