Kensetsu Token (KEN) is a component of the SORA Kensetsu project, a blockchain-based platform developed on the SORA network with the goal of innovating the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. The name "Kensetsu" is Japanese for "construction," symbolizing the platform's focus on building a new global economic system. The Kensetsu Protocol is a comprehensive DeFi solution that enables participants to lock digital assets as collateral to generate stablecoins. This design is inspired by protocols like MakerDAO, sharing a fundamental structure for creating stablecoins backed by digital assets. The platform currently features KUSD, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, and plans to introduce KAU, which will be pegged to gold. Holders of XOR tokens on the SORA network can participate in governance to create additional stablecoins pegged to various values. KEN is designed as a deflationary reward token intended to incentivize liquidity within the Kensetsu protocol. When stablecoins are minted, a portion of the commission is used to repurchase KEN tokens. A percentage of these repurchased KEN tokens are then permanently removed from circulation (burned), while the remainder is allocated for farming rewards in specific liquidity pools, such as the XOR-KUSD pool on the Demeter farm. Kensetsu operates on the SORA network, which is built using the Polkadot SDK. This foundation allows for efficient transactions, upgradability, and interoperability. Governance of the Kensetsu protocol is managed through the XOR token, giving users direct influence over its development and policy changes. Participation in acquiring Kensetsu tokens involves burning a minimum amount of XOR, which is described as a way to contribute to a more accessible and transparent decentralized finance future.
