It employs a fractional reserve approach, where a segment of the liquid capital and a larger portion of the locked capital are deployed into higher-yielding, duration-specific assets. Key aspects of InfiniFi include its innovative fractional staking model, where asset allocation is influenced by depositor preferences, and a governance system that allows for voting on farm allocation. The protocol strives to provide superior yields without increasing overall systemic risk by carefully managing both liquid and illiquid assets. It also defines a clear risk hierarchy, where liUSD holders would absorb potential losses before siUSD stakers, and then plain iUSD holders. Technically, InfiniFi's architecture includes core contracts for managing roles and permissions, gateways for user interactions such as minting and redeeming, and modules for funding, locking, and governance. The siUSD token itself is built on a StakedToken contract, which is compatible with the ERC4626 standard. In recent developments, InfiniFi has initiated a points program designed to incentivize and reward user participation within its ecosystem.
