The protocol aimed to provide increased liquidity, improved security, and a comprehensive reward structure through its Liquid Restaking Tokens (LRTs). Inception supported both native and isolated restaking strategies, allowing users to select reward-generating assets and choose their restaking exposures. This included enabling users to restake assets like stETH, rETH, or cbETH to potentially boost rewards by utilizing LRTs across different networks. However, the InceptionLRT project has since shut down its operations. The closure was announced around July 2025, with the team citing a struggle to find "product market fit" despite having launched numerous LRTs, integrating with many DeFi protocols, and undergoing multiple security audits. Although the project had secured $3.5 million in seed funding in January 2025, it did not achieve sufficient user adoption. The team stated that user funds were safe, and withdrawals remained available until September 1, 2025. New positions on the platform were disabled starting July 10, 2025. The operations of InceptionLRT fully concluded as of December 31, 2025, with withdrawals still being facilitated through associated blockchain explorers.
