Eigenpie's mechanism enables users to convert their LSTs into these isolated liquid restaked tokens. These LSTs are then utilized by Node Operators within the EigenLayer Ecosystem to validate new technologies and features, such as new layer 1 or layer 2 blockchains and bridges. This process allows LRT holders from Eigenpie to earn rewards by contributing to the security and validation of other platforms with their underlying assets. A key benefit of Eigenpie's approach is that it allows users to earn multiple layers of rewards while maintaining liquidity of their assets. Unlike traditional staking where assets might be locked, the issued LRTs like mETHx remain tradable and usable within the broader DeFi ecosystem.
