Key technologies powering BitcoinOS include BitSNARK, a ZK-verification virtual machine tailored for Bitcoin, and Grail, a bridge that facilitates asset movement between Bitcoin's main layer and its Layer-2 rollups. The BOS token is integral to the BitcoinOS ecosystem. It is utilized for various functions, such as paying gas fees for smart contract execution on the network. Token holders can also participate in the governance of the protocol by proposing and voting on upgrades. Furthermore, BOS tokens are staked by validators and bridge operators to ensure network security and incentivize honest behavior.
