The project operated on multiple blockchains, including Fusion, Binance Smart Chain, Fantom, Ethereum, Polygon, and Huobi ECO Chain. The ANY token is the native asset of Anyswap and serves as both a utility and governance token. As a utility token, ANY was used to reward various participants in the Anyswap ecosystem, including liquidity providers, Anyswap nodes, and traders. As a governance token, ANY provided holders the ability to vote on key decisions such as coin listings on the Anyswap decentralized exchange (DEX), operational nodes, and proposed changes to governance rules. The initial supply of ANY was 15 million tokens, with allocations for initial liquidity provision and a community and ecosystem fund. Anyswap's technology leveraged Fusion's Decentralized Control Rights Management (DCRM) and ECDSA Signature Support to facilitate secure and efficient cross-chain asset movement. It aimed to address interoperability and liquidity challenges within the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. The platform's features included a decentralized cross-chain bridge for depositing and minting wrapped tokens, and cross-chain swaps allowing immediate token exchanges. Security measures included private key sharding, where private keys were split among network nodes, and open-source smart contracts for transparency and audits. In December 2021, Anyswap officially rebranded to Multichain. This rebranding marked a shift in focus from being primarily a cross-chain DEX to concentrating on cross-chain bridge services. After the rebranding, Multichain aimed to be a leading infrastructure for cross-chain interoperability and a "router for Web3."
