Users can participate in the Grass network by installing a dedicated application or a browser extension on their devices. These devices then function as nodes, contributing their excess internet bandwidth to the network. In return for their contributions, participants earn "Grass Points," which are determined by factors such as device uptime, location, and how their bandwidth is utilized. These Grass Points can later be converted into GRASS tokens, typically through airdrop events. The GRASS token serves multiple functions within its ecosystem. It is used for staking, enabling holders to participate in the network's governance by voting on protocol updates and other significant decisions. Additionally, the token acts as the network's fuel for activities like data scraping and the purchase of AI datasets, and it is used for transaction fees within the platform.
